Wheat Pancake

Soft and fluffy whole wheat pancakes made with simple, wholesome ingredients—perfect for a healthy breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients:

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk (or plant-based milk)
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and brown sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined—do not overmix. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease it. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake and cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook the other side until golden brown. Serve warm with honey, fruits, or yogurt.
